Our Lady of the Evergreens School, Calgary
Dear members of the Alien In-Line Team,
I needed to reach out to you all to express my heartfelt appreciation for sending the angel, Shaun, to our school for this year. To say he was amazing is a huge understatement. For the ten days he was in our school (Our Lady of the Evergreens) he has been a beacon of kindness, friendliness, positivity, and joy.
We have a new special needs class (called ES2) at our school. The seven students have a range of intellectual delays and social struggles. This class was not included in a set day and time for inline skating but did join other classes periodically. Shaun was amazing with the students and made them feel welcome, worked to adapt his instructions so they would understand, and showed genuine kindness toward them. He even pulled a boy around on a scooter (that boy was fixated on going into the gym during his classes regular ‘gym time’ and Shaun was able to accommodate the request). I have attached a photo of Shaun from today. The boy is non-verbal but was clearly able to express that he wanted Shaun to pull him around.
Mr. Way, our Vice Principal, was in the gym with many of the classes (he teaches P.E. to Grade 1s and 2s). He said that Shaun learned about 70% of the student names AFTER ONE LESSON! He was positive and encouraging and made connections with many students.
The students and staff would like to thank you for employing such a terrific person and we hope to see him again in the future.
Yours most sincerely,
Shannon Griffin

To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Gord Leach, the PE specialist at Dr. Oakley School and would like to share with you our school’s experiences with Alien In -Line Skating.
For the past three years we have brought this group into our school to teach in-line skating to our students. Each year the experience has been nothing but exceptional, from start to finish. We have. had three different instructors over this period and they all bring varied attributes to the program though the program presentation remained consistent. What they have all had in common is a high regard to safety, the smooth running of the program and the logistics involved, a superb and caring attitude toward the students and a keen desire to make the learning of this new skill very fun. Every year I have observed a large number of students graduate from reluctant beginners to self – confident and capable in-line skaters. The Family Fun Night on the Thursday night of our one week program was also a huge success and was very popular and well supported by our students, their families, our Parent Council and school staff.
In closing, I would unequivocally recommend Alien In-Line to any school in Calgary and the province of Alberta. They are a highly professional group in all respects.
Yours truly,
Gord Leach

Hi everybody at Alien In-Line,
Recently, one of your instructors was at my daughter’s school (Westglen Elementary in Edmonton, Alberta). The instructor’s name was Dallas.
I just wanted to thank your company in general for doing what you do: teaching children how to do something new, and not be afraid to goof up while learning.
I also wanted to make sure you guys know what an amazing job Dallas did. He’s a perfect instructor for children, because he doesn’t talk down to them. He had the same manner when talking to them as when talking to me. Not only does Dallas have mind-blowing skills on skates, but he has genuine character. And he’s very kind. I could go on and on, but just let him know he’s awesome and I said thank you.

Hi Alien In-Line,
After checking in with grade teams I wanted to share what a wonderful experience it has been so far .
The program has been an absolute hit with our young students, who are eagerly participating in each session with boundless energy and enthusiasm. From the very first day, the team at Alian Inline has demonstrated exceptional professionalism and a genuine passion for teaching. Their ability to engage and motivate our students is truly inspiring.
Each session has been carefully designed to balance fun and learning. The children are not only mastering the basics of in-line skating but are also being introduced to important life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and self-confidence. It’s been wonderful to see the kids supporting one another and celebrating their progress together.
Safety remains a top priority, and we are very impressed with how Alian Inline ensures that all students are properly equipped with helmets, pads, and well-fitting skates. The instructors provide clear, step-by-step guidance on skating techniques and safety measures, making sure every child feels secure as they navigate the rink.
As we progress through the residency, the improvement in our students’ skills and confidence is evident. The excitement is building as they look forward to the final showcase event, where they will have the opportunity to demonstrate their newfound abilities to their parents and teachers. The anticipation and pride are palpable, and we can’t wait to celebrate their achievements.
We are incredibly grateful to the Alian Inline team for their dedication and the positive impact they are having on our students. This residency is not just about learning to skate; it’s about fostering a sense of accomplishment and self-esteem that will benefit our children in many aspects of their lives.
Thank you Alien In-Line for making this an unforgettable experience for our students!
Take care,

Thank you for your time and commitment to making our Wonderful Wednesday a success again this year.
As always, this was a great session. The kids worked hard and had a great time.

Hello,
I have two boys attending Coventry Hills School. I volunteer at the school regularly and during the time when the kids were having their Alien ln-Line experience, I was working daily in a room just off the gym.
I heard Shaun day after day, whether I wanted to or not. 🙂 But I was completely amazed. His unwavering enthusiasm for the kids and what he’s doing is incredible. It’s clear that he loves doing this. He loves the kids. And the kids love him.
I have a son in grade one, and another in Kindergarten this year. They both love the program so much (So much that we had to buy inline skates for my kindergartener’s birthday this week). I have no doubts that Alien ln-Line skating is their favourite part of the school year.
Without Shaun’s enthusiasm, it could be a completely different experience. The way he interacts with the kids is amazing. Thank you for such a great experience. We’re looking forward to doing it again next year.
