Discover Skating with Alien In-Line’s Learn to Skate (LTS) Program!

  • No previous skating experience is required
  • All equipment is provided

Our Learn to Skate Program consists of six skating sessions for only $25/class, including gear rental (inline skates, helmet, wrist guards, elbow pads, and knee pads)! We run a variety of classes to instruct a wide range of ages.

The focus of the Learn to Skate Program is to introduce the basics of skating on inline skates, from falling down and getting back up, then progressing to more challenging skills like balancing on one foot, forward striding, stopping, and skating backwards. These skills will be introduced in a fun filled environment involving lots of movement through exciting and encouraging drills and games.

Alien In-Line’s Learn to Skate Programs are led by professional certified instructors who work in schools across western Canada, leading students in the “FUNdamentals” of skating. Our world-class instructors run world-class programs every day!

The skating proficiency gained during the Learn to Skate Program will prepare the beginner skaters to move up to more challenging programs like Alien Skate Club – Skate Ninja Program. The Alien Skate Club – Skate Ninja Program is 12 weeks long and incorporates skills from a variety of skating sports into challenging and fun inline skating sessions.

The skills learned in our Learn to Skate Program will also transfer to ice skating sports like Speed Skating, Ringette, Figure Skating, and Hockey.

FAQ

Missed Class Policy

We pride ourselves on delivering world-class instruction, our programs are very popular and fill up with wait lists. Therefore, we cannot offer refunds, credits, or make up classes for missed classes and absences (planned or unplanned). We do our best to accommodate any special needs, however we cannot prorate your program based on the number of days the participant attends/misses. Programs are progressive and curriculum based, and as such, are intended for the participant to be present during all the days/hours of the specific program registered for.

Why is there a cancellation fee?

The cancellation fee is an important part of your registration, as it helps to support the agreement between you and Alien In-Line that comes along with registering for a program. Additionally, your cancellation fee helps offset our processing fees and costs associated with your cancellation such as: issuing the credit, updating the website and registration form, notifying students on the waitlist, registering a new student to fill the space, invoicing, and more. We greatly appreciate your support and understanding of this policy.

Does my child need to be the age listed on the registration, or is there some flexibility?

We strive to provide the best experience possible for all of our participants. We put much thought into the planning and instruction for the specific ages of each program. Therefore, we do ask that you adhere to the stated ages for each program. We also want to be true to our advertising and the other children who sign up for the program by meeting their expectations of the age-range.

We are doing our best to work with the fluid nature of family’s changing plans. As a small business, we need to have policies in place to support our ability to be here for you and continue offering programming. We gratefully request that you respect our policies.

Thank you for your support!
